Happy Valentine’s Day

Hope everyone had a great day. We woke up to snow on the ground. Connor came in yelling we don’t have school. Nope he had school and on time. The roads were kinda bad and they should have delayed the schools. Sean fishtailed the truck on the interstate. We went to school for awards assembly. Connor got a perfect attendance and home reading award. I am so proud of him for not being sick at all. He is a healthy baby. Must be the 20 months nursing that helped that along! I went back in the afternoon to work on craft with the kids. I was so busy I didn’t even get any photos. If you know me that is a rarity. Then for dinner we had steak and baked potatoes and salad. Everything was yummy! Here are some photos:

Happy 10th Birthday Ali Cat

Yes it is a few hours early but wanted to say Happy Birthday to my sweet niece Alexis. I have known her most of her life. She was 2 months old when Sean and I started dating. She lived in our house for a few months. She has lived in Illinois the last few years but we still get to see her once a year. I wish she lived closer but her father’s family is out there and that is where she lives. She has been through so much in her short 10 years without a mommy around but she has turned out pretty good considering the circumstances.

Beach Day in February

Yes you read that right. It was 80 degrees here and it’s the beginning of February. That groundhog was way off! So we went down to Yorktown Beach. We had a great time and even though the kids said the water was cold they still put their feet in the water. So I took the opportunity to take some valentine photos of the kids.

School Dance

All I can say is wow! I didn’t know that kids had that much energy at night. It was nuts! If I heard Cha Cha slide one more time I would have cried. I should have enjoyed some libations before I went to calm my nerves. I was talking to some friends and someone walked by and yes you can could smell the liquor on that couple!! I bet they had a great time. The girls found a girl to dance with. I think they liked her since they both have little sisters.

Baptism Day

Chayla was baptised today at our church. Like I always say better late then never. Grammy bought her a beautiful dress. Maybe one of my friends with an awesome camera can take some photos of her in it. ((hint hint)) Her mother was there today and her step-father. It was nice that all her family was there. Her godmother is Lisa who is also Connor’s godmother and has known my parents since high school. Sean’s cousin Ron is her godfather. He is also Caitlin’s godfather. Well what can I say when it’s not broke don’t fix it. It was a nice ceremony then back to our house for food and cake. I think it was a great ceremony but I am so glad it’s over! Ice Skating with the family

A few days after Christmas we went ice skating. Luckily it wasn’t super cold. The kids and Sean skated while Cait and I watched. Since they don’t make skates in her size she can’t skate. They had a great time. Sean on the other hand cried and cried about his ankles hurting. What a cry baby! The kids did a great job. I was so proud of them. Then we went and had lunch. While they were skating Cait and I had a good time going and shopping at some of the stores around the skating rink. I had a hot apple pie drink. OMG It was so good. Would have been really good with a shot of liquor but they didn’t sell it. Darn it!

We had a small party at our house with us and my parents. I decorated some bottles and the container. Connor and Chayla didn’t make it till midnight. Party poopers!! We had fun playing Guesstures. We had hot wings, shrimp, sweet n sour meatballs, deviled eggs. We had plenty of food for the 7 of us. When the kids woke up they were upset they wanted some champagne. I told them they had to stay up for midnight for that. Well maybe next year??

1. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?
I became a baseball mom & head of concession stand.

I tried lamb chops. (thanks Scott & Bliss)

I started a new job.

Saved a stranger by doing the Heimlich on her.
2. Did you keep your New Years Resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I seriously need to lose some weight so I can enjoy life more with my kids and also to purge and get organized. I am tired of not being able to find anything and stepping over or moving something to do anything in this house!
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes Cory & Jen Harris had the cutest little boy Gabe. He is here on my blog. My cousin Richie had a little girl and named her Violet after our grandma.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No thank god they didn’t but did have a old family friend who’s grandma and grandpa died.
5. What countries did you visit?
Does Busch Gardens count?? LOL

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Actually surviving fall ball concession stand!

9. What was your biggest failure?

Every time I lost my temper at my kids.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

I was having awful sinus headaches went to doctor and they did surgery within a few weeks. I love my Dr. I haven’t had barely any headaches since. Caitlin had 3 seizures and ended up CHKD it was the scariest 3 days of my whole life!! I hope I never have to live through anything like that again!

11. What was the best thing that you bought?

My shelving for my scrapbook room.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

Cait is finally starting to talk!

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

Myself I really need some more patience!

14. Where did most of your money go?

mortgage, food, health insurance…CC bills, car payment should I keep going?

My new job with Xyron!!

I wonder by Kellie Pickler it reminds me of my AWFUL SIL who left her daughter when she was 3 and hasn’t seen or talked to her since. It breaks my heart and makes me cry every time I hear the song.

I would say yes to my old boss who let me go right before Christmas this year. But all I have to say is Kharma will get her back for doing that to me after I worked for her for 3 and a half years.

High School Musical CD….Ok now quit laughing!

I wanted to spend more time scrap booking and I have done it.

I turned 34 and we went out to eat at Chili’s a quiet day.

Scrapbooking, forums, looking at peoples blogs.

No one really right now.

The election already!

My grandma Vi, Grandma Inge, & Grandpa Don.

My new friend Shaunte had a great time at getaway girl!!

Patience is a virtue.

“I am not working at Curves anymore”

I have had some sad news from a few family friends like Carol has Cancer, Debra from church has cancer and Sean & Karen’s baby has a cleft pallet and might have downs syndrome. We aren’t sure why your daughter had 3 seizures.

40. What do you anticipate will be the biggest change in your life in 2008?

I am hoping that Sean can find a new better paying job and one he enjoys he hates his job so much and it is starting to affect his daily life at home. Also Sean will probably be managing a baseball team so between that and concession stand we will be very busy.

Christmas Eve at MIL’s house

We went after church and opened gifts. The kids were excited here are a few photos. It was nice that Chayla was there since it’s not our year to have her so we got to take our annual photo. I made my MIL a canvas. I think it turned out great.

Great Wolf Lodge for almost Christmas

We went on the 23rd with the kids and my parents and had a blast. The howling tornado was so scary! I was screaming the whole time and for some reason I rode it again. The kids and Sean had a great time on the boogie board wave pool. We weren’t there long enough and I didn’t take many photos. Just not enough time. We are going for 2 days next year. We had to rush home for Christmas Eve Mass and then to the MIL’s house.
