Christmas Eve at MIL’s house

December 26, 2007

We went after church and opened gifts. The kids were excited here are a few photos. It was nice that Chayla was there since it’s not our year to have her so we got to take our annual photo. I made my MIL a canvas. I think it turned out great.

Great Wolf Lodge for almost Christmas

We went on the 23rd with the kids and my parents and had a blast. The howling tornado was so scary! I was screaming the whole time and for some reason I rode it again. The kids and Sean had a great time on the boogie board wave pool. We weren’t there long enough and I didn’t take many photos. Just not enough time. We are going for 2 days next year. We had to rush home for Christmas Eve Mass and then to the MIL’s house.

Christmas 2007

We had a great Christmas. Santa left alot of presents under the tree and ate most of his cookies and drank most of his milk. He even had oranges for the reindeer that Connor left. Connor got lots of Cars stuff and Cait got the TMX Elmo and other stuff. We had breakfast at our house with my parents. Then dinner at my FIL and MIL’s house. We left early because Cait was sick and had a earache.

Santa

December 19, 2007

We went to City Center and saw Santa and as you can see someone is missing from the photo. Yes Miss Chicken herself. She has been talking about Ho Ho for weeks now but when she actually saw the big man herself she chickened out. But I was so proud of the big kids. They used to be scared when they were younger too. I guess it’s in the blood. There aren’t many photos of me with Santa. I guess that beard scares the kids? I did get a photo of the whole gang in front of the big red balls. I heard Connor tell Santa to bring him a remote control car (he has 10 of them) Chayla told him to surprise him and I think Caitlin told them to tell him she wanted some dolls and a bike. We’ll see what he brings in a few nights.

Fireworks Photos

December 3, 2007

Sorry had to add these here. The fireworks were like none I have ever seen. Even at GI. The last photo is Cait asleep on the couch she was pooped!

Grand Illumination

Well tonight was the Grand Illumination in Colonial Williamsburg. It started the Christmas season in the colonial times. All the candles are lit in the houses at 6:15 then the fireworks go off at 3 places on Duke of Gloucester street. It is so gorgeous there. I love the decorations made of fruit. There are a few of my favorites on here. Every year my mother and I say we are going to try and make them. Maybe this is the year. We had apple cider & snacks while we waited for the fireworks. Also got to hear the fife & drum corp. It is a great way to get in the Christmas spirit. We actually got there early tonight and set up our chairs and walked around for an hour or so.
