Here are some photos of my poor baby. I did add one of Sean in the ER sleeping.

This is after the adavan.

This was before her 2nd seizure.

Another one after the adavan/3rd seizure.

It has been so sad here

Here is my email I sent to the family:
Caitlin had been sick throwing up since Monday. On Thursday morning I had taken Connor to school I was feeling sick myself so we were laying on the couch watching TV and all of a sudden she started having a seizure. I started freaking out. I called 911 and of course I couldn’t dial the phone. I got through and they were on the way. I called Sean to let him know what was going on and then called my MIL since she lives a mile away. I was still holding Caitlin the whole time. She was totally limp at that point. My MIL beat the ambulance so when she got here I got dressed, brushed my teeth and off we went. They had a pull down car seat for her and she puked on the way. It is only 3 miles to the hospital but it seems like a lot further then that. We got in to see the doctor. They did a CT scan and observed her for a few hours. About 4 p.m. we were released with orders to go to the pediatrician on Friday morning. We were in the waiting room waiting for my mother to pick us up and she had another seizure. We screamed at the window and brought her back in and the doctor observed her in the middle of it. We went back to the bed and were told they were called Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters and an ambulance was on it’s way. Sean went home to shower etc. I stayed with her the whole time. She got sick again in the room. After about a 45 minute ambulance drive we were there. It was so uncomfortable but that didn’t matter. We were in the ER at CHKD around 6 p.m. It was packed in there. She was given a chest x-ray after we got there. We were finally seen by the doctor about 10 p.m. When we were talking to her Caitlin had her 3rd seizure. They gave her adavan ((sp??) They also gave her oxygen mask. She also had to have a spinal tap to rule out spinal menengitis. They said she was a trooper through the procedure. That came back out negative thank god! It took until 4 a.m. to get her upstairs. Sean left to go home since there was no where for him to sleep. At 6:15 they came in to tell me her MRI would be in a little bit. I jumped up got dressed, brushed my hair and teeth and waiting for them to get her. She was sedated for her MRI and I finally got something to eat after 24 hours of not eating a thing. After that I had fun trying to get her to wake up. They had a bunch of loud toys to wake her up. After she was up for 15 minutes up to the room again. After a nap for her it was time for and EEG to check her brain waves. A few hours later the Neurologist came in to tell us she might have epilepsy. He asked if there was an hereditary epilepsy in the family. Sean & I couldn’t think of any. They are not sure if that is what she has so she has to go back in a few weeks for follow up. They said her flu test came back negative so she probably had a bacteria infection. I think her final count of IV bags was 5 so that can tell you how dehydrated she was. We were finally released at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning what a long 2 days it has been. I am so thankful for the great doctors & the most awesome nurses at CHKD they are the greatest anywhere!! I did find out after I got home that my paternal grandmother had epilepsy. My grandfather said he had totally forgotten about it because her last episode was 1959. I will make sure to tell the neurologist about this when I see him. The weird thing about this was that there was another baby about Caitlin’s age also brought in the ambulance with the seizures to CHKD. So I am wondering if the infection could have started them.
